Thanks to the funding we received, our Community Strong Family Healing Circles is now partnering with families to acknowledge and repair harm through family restorative healing circles. These families are walking away with tools to understand their own trauma, create safe spaces to process stressors, and develop tools to support their resiliency.

The Child Abuse Prevention Council is a place where families can turn in a time of crisis. We are grateful to the Community Foundation for recognizing the importance of this work in our community.

This pandemic highlighted the disparities and exacerbated economic insecurity within the minority-owned small business community. The Community Foundation’s partnership has helped us secure the financial support we need to ensure African American and minority owned businesses not only survive this season, but remain pillars of their communities for generations to come.

There are far too many students in our county whose incredible potential is limited by the financial resources available to them. The work of the Community Foundation and the scholarship programs it supports are essential to helping our youth forge brighter futures for themselves and their families.

Support from the Community Foundation has allowed us to engage South East Stockton residents to expand the amenities and programs offered at Williams Brotherhood Park, the primary park serving more than 50,000 residents in a historically disinvested community neighborhood with some of the most impacted health outcomes in the state.
“
Thanks to the grant we received, the agency was able to purchase a new refrigerated all-wheel-drive cargo van, allowing us to lower our fuel consumption, lower our vehicle maintenance cost, increase delivery capacity, and improve meal delivery reliability.
“
The Stockton Meal Project has brought residents comfort, a good night sleep with a full stomach. It’s also brought them comfort knowing that someone who doesn’t know them personally cares enough to think about them and their situation. This brings them hope and stamina to keep on with their journey of healing and creating a new life for themselves.

Mexican Heritage Center & Gallery – After School Art Program
Thanks to the support we received from the Sozoei Foundation Community Fund, we have been able to provide a free after school art instruction program for students in grades 3
Little Manila Rising – DAWN Program
The funds received from the Brian M. Stocker Fund allowed the organization to double our youth-led efforts by contracting two additional youth to run training workshops and social media campaigns
Boys & Girls Club at Sierra Vista Stockton – Building Great Futures in Stockton-Triple Play: A Game Plan for Mind, Body, Soul
The Club was fortunate to receive support from the Brian M. Stocker Fund for the Club's Triple Play Program: A Game Plan for Mind, Body, Soul for the 2021-2022 school
Common Ground Senior Service – Wheels for Meals
Support from the Community Foundation has allowed the agency to purchase a new refrigerated all-wheel-drive cargo van, replacing an older vehicle whose maintenance cost and repairs exceed the vehicle’s value.
Reinvent South Stockton Coalition – Williams Brotherhood Park Beautification & Activation
Support from the Community Foundation has allowed RSSC to engage South East Stockton residents to expand the amenities and programs offered at Williams Brotherhood Park.
