Community Foundation Scholarships

The Community Foundation of San Joaquin (CFOSJ) Scholarship program provides opportunities for San Joaquin Valley students to help pursue their educational goals. Please read the list of scholarships offered below for eligibility requirements in each unique scholarship before clicking the "CLICK HERE TO APPLY NOW" button.
Deadline to submit application: May 31, 2020 (5:00 p.m.)

ARTURO VERA ART SCHOLARSHIP

  • Scholarship Amount: $300 (one scholarship will be awarded this cycle)
  • Open To: All high school seniors in the Stockton Unified School District pursuing post-secondary education in an Art-related field
  • GPA Requirement: 3.0 GPA minimum

BILL POLLARD JR. SCHOLARSHIP

  • Scholarship Amount: $1,000 (one scholarship will be awarded this cycle)
  • Open To: All seniors at Tracy High School pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business

BORRA FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Borra Family Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Steve Borra, whose greatest passions were winemaking and farming.

  • Scholarship Amount: $1,500 (Agriculture – 2 offered); $1,000 (Agriculture Trade School – 2 offered)
  • Open To: All high school seniors in the Lodi Unified School District pursuing an undergraduate degree in an Agricultural field; and those enrolling in a trade school with an Agricultural focus.

JESTER’S CLUB ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP

  • Scholarship Amount: $1,500 (two scholarships per high school below will be awarded this cycle for a total of $18,000 in scholarships)
  • Open To: All high school seniors at Cesar Chavez, Edison, Franklin, Lincoln, St. Mary’s, and Stagg who will be playing on a college sports team

JOHN & FRANCESCA VERA COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

The John & Francesca Vera Community Leadership Scholarship was established by John and Francesca Vera to support students of Hispanic/Latino descent who have an interest in community leadership.

  • Scholarship Amount: $2,500 (Hispanic/Latino Male Student- 1 offered); $2,500 (Hispanic/Latina Female Student – 1 offered)
  • Open To: All graduating seniors at Franklin High School in Stockton, California, pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited college or university
  • Preference/Section Criteria: demonstration of leadership in their community
  • GPA Requirement: 3.0 GPA minimum

SAN JOAQUIN SOCIETY FOR HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIP

  • Scholarship Amount: $2,000 (two scholarships will be awarded this cycle for a total of $4,000 in scholarships)
  • Open To: All high school seniors in San Joaquin County pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business Administration

TAYLOR FARMS PACIFIC EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

The Taylor Farms Company takes pride in its employees and is excited to be able to provide these scholarships.

  • Scholarship Amount: $5,000 (Four-Year U.S. University/ State College); $2,500 (Community College); $2,500 (Technical or Vocational School)
  • Open To: All graduating high school seniors planning to attend, and students currently attending, a Four-Year U.S. University, State College, Community College, Technical or Vocational School; and to be eligible, you must be a child or grandchild of a Regular Full-Time Taylor Farms Pacific or Abel Mendoza employee, employed for a minimum one (1) year at the company, and in good standing.

THE ROBERT & CATHERINE LAGORIO SCHOLARSHIP

  • Scholarship Amount(s) – one each: $1,000 (Veterinary Field); $2,500 (Veterinary Field); $5,000 (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree)
  • Open To: All high school seniors in San Joaquin County pursuing a career in the Veterinary Field
  • High School graduates of San Joaquin County currently enrolled in college may apply for the DVM degree scholarship
  • GPA Requirement: 3.0 GPA minimum
